Cinquefoil is a native of Europe but is now found naturalized here. I've only ever seen this one plant that grew in my lawn for two years before I moved it to one of my wildflower beds to find out what it was. The leaves are palmate, not unlike those of hemp but rounded instead of pointed.. It produces a bunch of these flowers that last for only one day before the petals are thrown then follows it with a new batch the next day.
What a lovely Photo! I love the detail and love the color of the flower!
