Not the perfect flower and not the prettiest butterfly but in the late summer when the grass was turning brown I was glad to get this shot.
Beautiful shot... the butterfly is very pretty... I want to know how you people catch a shot of these things, I am never able to catch one.. i have tried so many times!! Congratulations on this shot!!

@Kaddy: Thanks, Kaddy. Well, all I can tell you is the digital camera makes it possible with maybe one shot like this for every ten attempted. Keep trying... stealth, and patience, is all it takes... ;-)

Over here, our local Fritillaries seem to be the hardest butterflies to get close to, and Iv'e never got as close as you have. Hats off to you for getting close enough.
