Native to Texas, Oklahoma, and one variety to Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama as well, one of a very few plants that hasn't come to the center of the country from east or west.
They have an interesting fuzzy texture and lovely blue color. Very nice.

I agree with Michael. The texture is quite crisp. The colors provide a mellow punch that create a nice composition.
