The strange seed pods of the primrose willow.
Indeed, they do look like little boxes. Nature is fascinating and has a sense of humour, too.

Boxes, yes, I can see what you mean, I bet if these were manufactured to a larger size they would sell in a gift shop

@Peter Miller: It took a long time to find one of these plants blooming. As you might expect it had four petals.. and four of the other flower parts... I first found the seed pods and was very curious to find the flower.
