Pelicans in Oklahoma. They seem to like the nearby lake that was built by the Corps of Engineers to control flooding of the Arkansas and Cimarron rivers.. It's very near where I live. In the fall the pelicans fly every morning, usually in formation and are a spectacular sight against the blue sky when the sun strikes their snow-white plumage -- and I couldn't get that shot because that moment is so fleeting.. Despite their migratory maneuvers they never leave.
Cool capture! That's a lot of birds!

Keep staring at the shot and there is movement, cool shot

If you look at this long enough, it looks like they're trying to form a "body"...I can see the head, arms, torso, and what looks the like the start of legs (okay, now that part might take a little more imagination)...interesting.

@Melissa: Great imagination, Melissa... I'm glad they didn't form a giant body or I would have been rather upset.. then again it might have been a fantastic photo opportunity!
Great shot. We can feel the movement ! Well done

A very interesting capture, Earnest. I've never seen more than maybe two pelicans together. And I note how much gliding they do when the majority of the pelicans have their wings fully extended.
