Newly Emerged

I spent more than a little time in the dark, following this cicada up a tree, onto a limb and patiently awaiting the culmination of his metamorphosis. In the meantime, curious neighbors drove slowing by the trees in front of my house --- probably wondering why my rear end was protruding out from under a tree... :-))
