I try to never overlook a flower and the lowly dandelion (tooth of the lion) is easy to overlook because it is everywhere. It is not a native plant to the U.S. or most other parts of the world. In my research, purely for personal gratification I found that this plant has some astonishing properties. You owe it to yourself to look here: http://www.answers.com/dandelion?cat=health&gwp=13

The perfect way to show off the beauty of the dandelion. Strange that the English name is from a French expression, but in French an altogether different word is used, "pissenlit". meaning pee in bed...

Ah, that yellow is so sunny... and not meant totally in a punny way! Lovely details, Earnest!! Looks a little different than the variety we have.

Looks like sunshine! My neighbor picked dandelions while they were small in March and made salads for her husband! Got my daughter to like it, also.

@Betty: Wow, I could never talk my spouse into that - but I'll try most everything.
