Taken on yet another misty day -- Oh, where is the sunlight?
I dropped my "Elmoses X" watermark for my initials on this one and probably for the rest of my photos as I created "Elmoses X" for several reasons - uniqueness and silliness among them... It's not really necessary on Aminus3. The wild verbena is the champion among wildflowers in the crosstimbers and can be found blooming year round in protected areas, even in the dead of winter! I have to say that it is my favorite wildflower -- even though I profess not to have ANY favorites...
Thanks for the comments and helpful hints. Most of my photos are from the woods and of nature. I hope you enjoy them.
You have an incredible series of floral pictures here, Earnest. Great work!

How wonderful Earnest to have such beautiful wildflowers. Brightness on a dull day. A cheerful and hopeful image.

Another very nice close-up! I guess the farmers in Oklahoma are not complaining about the rain....

@vu@granby - Wolfgang: Well, they're not complaining yet....
Simply wonderful. I've never seen that flower, lovely color.

The wildness does not detract from the beauty in any way : I’d find a place for her in my garden any day.
