On April 2 I posted a photo of a redbud on an abandoned highway. This is the same area (different tree) three days later when I walked this old road all the way to a reservoir that takes its name from a town now lying far under the water. The blooms were even more glorious that day and this photo is of a broken limb that is probably blooming for the last time. We had a BIG accumulation of ice during the winter that devastated much of the forest. I took lots of photos of the redbud trees but will restrict my posting. I'll post a photo of some of the destruction caused by ice too.
Beautiful sign of the spring.

Glorious is the right word for this bloom and I'm glad you were there to capture it if this limb can no longer bloom.

This is splendid . . one last blaze of color from a broken limb. Sad to hear about the ice damage, though.

My redbud certainly is not blooming like this. Steroids??????

@Gary: The wild ones seem to have far outdone the captive ones that receive special care in yards... This year... I can't explain it but I certainly have enjoyed them.
It's cacophony of colour! Beautiful, Earnest!
