Actually, I was astonished at the way this one turned out with minimal post processing... The background for this dandelion seed head is a deep violet petunia that I had purchased for my flower garden. It makes the photo.

I agree with how the background makes the photo. I expect to see green or yellow, but the blue makes it unique.
Isn’t it strange that a chance meeting up of colors like this can have so much impact . . great detail on the seedhead, too!

Truly beautiful! I will see dandelions differently from now on. Love the blue background and the soft focus of the edge of the dandelion.
