When the blue-eyed grass is blooming, it's accompanied by this bright yellow relative known as yellow star grass. It's very well named.

@Observing: These are out in the crosstimbers -- i.e. not in my garden. These little yellow stars pop out in the springtime in the prairie.

@Anita: I hope you find some of these in your area... seems that in the center of the continent where we live, we have flowers from north, south, east, and west... so you probably have something similar too. Thanks for an uplifting comment.
