Prairie Rose Gentian Nearing Full Bloom

This plant received enough rain to reach its potential and is nearing full bloom. I really like this wildflower. Who says guys don't like pink?

@Observing: It's an annual, Mike... I can't believe these aren't sold to home gardeners... then again I've not had any luck in planting the seeds....... yet.

@Marion: Finding the favorite locations for them is a challenge as they aren't "everywhere" as it might seem... but they are relatively abundant. Its fun to explore...

I luv the clarity in the shot.. the color's captured are very soft and sunlight adds to the happy feel :)
I like the way flowers are in focus while also in the background!
