Lespedeza cuneata (Dum. Cours.) G. Don sericea les

Posted by Earnest (Oklahoma, United States) on 22 September 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio.

One of many legumes that begin to bloom in the Crosstimbers in September just when it appears all the wildflowers have run out of water. They haven't because lots of different flowers appear. This is a valuable plant for cattle browsing and soil replenishment.

I hope you enjoyed the viewing... Have a great day!
