Stiff TicktrefoilPosted by Earnest (Oklahoma, United States) on 27 September 2008 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Desmodium obtusum, another September-blooming legume. Its name comes from the seeds that stick to one's clothing like ticks. I carried several back the the house on my blue jeans. This one fascinates me because the young flowers are turquoise or blue-green color -- one shows up in this photo. I hope you enjoyed the viewing... Have a great day!
