Created from a photo of a red spotted purple butterfly (the common name) that I will post later this month.
On this day thirty years ago I married a beautiful girl. Hey, she and I are still together and yes, she's still beautiful, a butterfly of sorts and I thank her for her love.
On a cold winter day
A still winter night
Visions of a butterfly
Flowers spread on velvet
Shade of glorious trees
Golden fans on forest floor
Weaved by dusty leaves
Twinkling amid glowing beams
A tiny universe where
Colors flash from wings
Above the woodland flower
Laced with jewels of dew
Sparkling in the bower
Dance upon the wind
Spread wings in early light
Climb into the sun
A wild elysian flight
Freedom is a part of you
Rainbow colored dreams
Ride upon the forest winds
With nature as she sings!
