@Alphons: Hi, Alphons... The area is very big so few sites like this are protected. There are hundreds if not thousands of these petroglyphs in the western U.S.

@JJ: This location was at the entrance to a canyon. Much deeper in the canyons there was less grafiti. To be fair, I noticed some dates on some of the names that were in the 1800's !

Oh, wow, that is so sad that Farley couldn't just leave history alone.

Old photo albums . . . do you mean the magnetic kind? I had 10 of those and they seriously ruined most of my old photos. At the time I pulled them out and put them in boxes, I was the most incredibly organized photographer I knew. I had carefully labeled and mounted all of my photos since about the age of 9. 15 years after pulling out all those photos to save them from further deterioration, they're still in boxes. And since acid-free albums were expensive for quite a while, I have envelopes full of photos in drawers all over my house. Farley couldn't have made things worse.
