Eye of the Beholder

Some deviation from my usual postings. This is a hole in the ice of a pond that was completely frozen over. It struck me that it had a fractal appearance but was uninteresting without filtering... (inset).. so I applied some filters to bring out the pattern I saw... Purely experimental.
