I am sure that is where Woody Woodpecker's image came from, the pileated Woodpecker. A very excellent shot.

@Betty: Three birds came through that day and though two went on to other woods, one that was being very quiet and feeding just caught my eye... a combination of patience and stealth got me these shots...

Yes, they are really large. I was surprised to see them on palm trees in Fort DeSoto park near Tampa. And I think you remember this shot, taken through the window pane from my dining room...
