Bobwhite QuailPosted by Earnest (Oklahoma, United States) on 6 July 2009 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio. This bird is one of a pair favoring my little parcel of land... They are hunted extensively and hunters in Oklahoma are greatly involved in keeping the quail population healthy.... Oklahoma is one of the few remaining states where hunters can pursue relatively large numbers of wild quail. Hunters harvest an estimated one to two million birds a year in the state, which consistently ranks nationally in the top three for harvest. -- Oklahoma Wildlife Department. I hope you enjoyed the viewing... Have a great day!
