Have you gone back to that bush again? I think I would be drawn to it to see if it was always so loaded with bflies and other insects.

@Candace: I went back once to try to figure out just why that particular day was so fruitful and I think I came up with an answer. The particular bush I happened upon was one of the first if not THE first to bloom in that location so its attraction for insects is somewhat explained. On my second visit, there were still butterflies but other bushes (there are lots of them around the lake and in the creek bottoms) had begun to bloom as well and the insects didn't seem to be nearly so hungry or abundant and they were scattered in the abundance. I took a few more photos though including some interesting ones in the surrounding vegetation and will be expanding the series for a few more days. I hope you enjoy them.
