Good morning Earnest,
Once again an excellent shot. In thoughts now always ask myself before you with the camera are on the hunt for insects. In friendship, dear greetings Christel

@Christel: Recently I have been on several walks stalking these creatures... It is always a thrill to get back home to see if I achieved a good capture. Sometimes success and sometimes failure. It does not matter that much though as the walking in the countryside is a treat.
I'm amazed at the number of different varieties you caught that day! It's a great feeling when one photo outing lands you this many great images to post!

@Eric Fry: I believe that I counted ten different species that day! I was about to burn up my camera... I added a couple more from another day taken in the vegetation surrounding the buttonbush. We have had well distributed rain and the vegetation is remarkably green. That means lots of butterflies this summer. The pay back will come this winter when all that tall green grass and those giant, lush weeds will dry out and provide fuel for wild fires... You have to take the good with the bad.
Skippers were all I could find, today. Who hijacked the Mississippi butterflies???? That's lovely, Earnest. Thanks for the comments about the button bush. We're wet, here, but it looks like a sunlight plant, yes?

@Bookfool: You can't look outside around here without seeing one fly by. Maybe they migrated to Oklahoma for vacation!
