Buttonbush Series

Admittedly not on the buttonbush but nearby in the vegetation... as the series continues we view the area around the buttonbush at times as well as a few of the other insects in the vicinity.

That's okay. They don't all have to crowd onto the same old bush. ;) Thanks for the link to the ID website you use. I'll have to try that. I do have a book . . . of course. I wouldn't be a proper Bookfool if I didn't have a book about absolutely everything.

I think this year's weird weather may have something to do with the fact that I'm not finding as many butterflies. They're out there -- just not in the usual quantity. We do have moles, though. ~Sigh~ I was hoping our little mini-drought would kill them off, but no.

@Bookfool: I understand the book thing.... I really do! Unfortunately as the man of the house I've been allotted little space for a book collection beyond my science fiction anthologies and a few more strange books (some references) here and there. It seems that science moves much more quickly than the printing press anyway and changing "standards" (I know, don't use quotations for emphasis - forget that because I'm gonna) mean that for up-to-date information, certain internet sites are the most current.

The weather up here has been wonderful this year with few extremes. I actually would rather walk around with my camera all day rather than be imprisoned in a room with a computer but someone has to sort and collate all the images.
