a very interesting specimen of what I see there. I think if it flying towards me I would run screaming in terror like this, and I hide until it's gone. I hope that the insect is harmless. The recording is once again brilliant.

@Christel: Ha, ha... this wasp likes to eat caterpillars so you would probably be safe!

Very nice shot of this specimen of pompili (it's an hunter of spider) i'have take one other specimen, very strange insect.

@Demo: This one also take caterpillars (as do many) as shown here: http://xminus3.aminus3.com/portfolio/367.html I've missed a number of opportunities to capture wasps attacking their prey including tarantulas because I didn't have my camera!
