Bug on Yarrow

Posted by
Earnest (Oklahoma, United States) on 26 June 2008 in Animal & Insect and Portfolio.

We often use the generic term bug for any insects, spiders, etc. entomologists use the term bug specifically. The insect pictured is a true bug. Homely isn't he?

I appreciate comments and visits but have discovered that replying sometimes takes great amounts of time so please forgive me if I don't answer your comments. I will very likely visit your page though....

I'd say he's probably quite handsome to the ladies of his species, and a fine looking guy in this shot. Very nice.

@Eric Fry: Actually I was a bit unhappy with this one because it is over-cropped but I left is up....

In the immortal words of Rod Serling, "Consider, if you will..."

1. If there isn't any pixelllation, then it isn't overcropped.

2. If it is flying in my face/buzzing around my head/crawling on my skin, AND, it goes crunch/pop/squish when I smash it, then it is a true bug!

Have a great day, my friend!
